About Emily
Emily joined MassBioEd in May of 2023 as the Apprenticeship Program Coordinator. Her focus is the recruitment and screening of potential apprentices, as well as providing support to apprentices in the program. Her passion for workforce development in the Life Sciences stems from her nearly 10 years of experience working in research and in BioTech. Most recently, she worked for 4 years as a Project Manager at a Contract Research Organization, and witnessed the need for diversity, equity and inclusion in the hiring process. Her primary focus is to help underrepresented individuals start and build careers in the Life Sciences Industry, with the goal of supporting future change-makers in this growing field. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience, from Wright State University in Ohio and a Master’s degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Developmental Neuroscience, from New York University.
