Complete two different labs, both available from miniPCR as kits.  In this full-day workshop, you will use pre-prepared DNA samples and gel electrophoresis to explore the alleles associated with dog facial fur length. You will also isolate DNA from plants, PCR amplify a gene associate with color, and confirm the plant genotype through gel electrophoresis. 

Massachusetts teachers that complete the workshop and submit a pre- and post-workshop assignment are eligible for 10 PDPs.
