Description
Transitioning to Leader is an in-person course designed to support individuals who are new to leadership or preparing to step into people management roles. Participants develop a clear understanding of the leader-manager they aim to be and build essential skills for leading effectively in day-to-day workplace situations.
The course explores practical approaches to communication, collaboration, and relationship-building, with attention to leading both in-person and hybrid teams. Participants will also examine the leader’s role in fostering employee engagement and creating an environment where individuals and teams can perform at their best. Through discussion and applied learning, participants gain tools they can immediately use as they transition into leadership responsibilities.
Who should attend? This course is ideal for new leaders, first-time managers, and individuals who are interested in developing foundational leadership skills. It is well suited for professionals who are beginning to take on leadership responsibilities or who want support navigating the shift from individual contributor to leader.
Participants looking to continue developing their leadership capabilities may benefit from Accelerated Leadership, which focuses on strategic influence and executive presence, or Biotechnology Project Management, which builds skills related to leading projects, teams, and cross-functional initiatives within the life sciences.
