Background

The annual Champions for Biotechnology Education Awards Gala convenes influential leaders in industry, academia, and government for an evening of networking and celebration. MassBioEd honors a company and teacher who have worked to advance life sciences education in their communities. A student is also awarded a scholarship for their interest in and commitment to studies in the life sciences. As MassBioEd’s largest fundraiser, all proceeds directly support programs that are free to students, teachers, and schools, which provide authentic lab activities and career exploration experiences to students in high-need school districts and support the transition of underrepresented individuals into sustainable careers in the industry.
