Celebrating 20 Years

Celebrate 20 years of building a life sciences workforce in 2021!

20 years ago, MassBioEd was founded to focus on high quality educational programming in an effort to build a talented workforce in the Massachusetts. We quickly evolved to bridge the gap between industry needs and higher education training programs. Now, we have moved further to bring people into jobs in the life sciences through our Apprenticeship Program and shifted our approach to work within under-served school districts at the middle and high school levels through our ACCESS Program, forming a sustainable Community of Practice. MassBioEd will celebrate its 20 years on October 26th, 5:30-8:00pm ET at The UMass Club in Boston, MA and live stream at its annual 6th Annual Champions for Biotechnology Education Awards Reception.

“It is important for students to recognize that, in a lab investigation, there is no right answer. If there were, there would be no need to investigate. We help teachers to recognize that unexpected experimental results often provide the richest learning experience.”
