Program Overview

MassBioEd’s Pre-Apprenticeship & Career Exploration Program trains individuals who are interested in a career in Biotechnology. This opportunity provides participants with FREE education and training focused on topics relevant to in demand jobs in the life sciences. During the program, pre-apprentices get an overview of the biotech industry, learn hands-on lab skills for biotech jobs and receive job readiness support. The pre-apprenticeship is a valuable first step towards a fulfilling career in biotech.

The Life Sciences Apprenticeship Program is funded by a grant award totaling 16% ($915,653) from the U.S. Department of Labor, with 84% or $5,864,660 financed from non-federal sources.
