Career Awareness
Our direct-to-student programs are designed to inspire diverse middle school, high school, and college learners to explore life sciences careers. These experiential events in and outside of the classroom expose students to the wide array of opportunities in the life sciences industry by connecting them to professionals from academia and companies in the industry.

Career Exploration Programs

The Career Ambassador Program builds a critical bridge between classroom and careers. Ambassadors help broaden students’ horizons and encourage an interest in the life sciences. The program is designed to inspire and motivate the next generation of life sciences professionals by providing students with access to industry experts who will share their unique experiences with the students in engaging conversations. Schools can host an individual or a panel of speakers to discuss their career paths with students. Presentations can be held online or in person.
To submit a request for Career Ambassador(s) for an event, please complete the MassBioEd Volunteer Request Form. Submissions are checked weekly and once confirmed will be posted on the Compass Collaborative, a partnership between Life Sciences Cares Boston and MassBioEd that streamlines STEM education and career development volunteer opportunities for life science industry professionals.
Events are hosted throughout the year. MassBioEd manages logistics for each event and may provide funding for transportation and substitute teacher expenses for qualifying schools. To learn more, contact volunteer@massbioed.org. All volunteer opportunities can also be found on our Volunteer page.
