Genesis Gonzalez, Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School

Genesis Gonzalez, or as others call her Genda, is a senior at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and the Captain of her Division I swim team. She is a proud Afro-Latina and takes pride in the culture she comes from. Genesis has spent the last 6 years immersing herself in the field of STEM by participating in minority-focused programs at MIT (known as MITES) and the LEAH program to challenge the norms of society and prove she can amount to all the obstacles and setbacks the world has confronted her with. She enjoys taking on leadership roles, working in teams and is an extremely outgoing person. She strives to lead by example and inspire others to follow along with her.
