Career Exploration

Our direct-to-student programs are designed to inspire diverse middle school, high school, college, and adult learners to explore life sciences careers. These experiential events in and outside of the classroom expose students to the wide array of opportunities in the industry by connecting them to professionals from academia and life sciences professions.

Career Exploration Programs

College and Career Exploration events bring grade school students to post-secondary institutions and students of all ages to companies to learn about the range of career opportunities in the industry, engage in laboratory experiences, tour facilities, and interact with professionals and faculty. Events may be held online or in person. MassBioEd manages logistics for each event and may provide funding for transportation and substitute teacher expenses for qualifying schools.

Career Ambassador Program events build a critical bridge between classroom and careers. Ambassadors help broaden students’ horizons and encourage an interest in the life sciences. The Career Ambassador Program is designed to inspire and motivate the next generation of scientists by providing students with access to life science professionals who share their unique experiences in engaging conversations. Schools can host an individual or a panel of speakers to discuss their career paths with students. Presentations may be held online or in person.
