Gloucester High School wins teacher grant – The Gloucester Times 5/20/15

Gloucester High School students and teachers alike will reap the benefits of a grant being awarded to the school by a Massachusetts biotechnology program for the 2015-2016 school year.

The honor means that Gloucester High — the only Cape Ann or North Shore school selected for this year’s program — will benefit from Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation’s professional development and mentoring program for teachers; updated biotechnology curriculums; access to student career exploration experiences; and up to $12,000 for materials and equipment for school labs.

The school was one of 10 chosen from among 55 schools that competed for a handful of grants, according to the foundation, known as MassBioEd. Read the full article from the Gloucester Times.
