Mike Tirozzi joined Alnylam Pharmaceuticals in 2024 as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Data Officer. In this role, Mr. Tirozzi oversees all of Alnylam’s global information technology, IT infrastructure, security, engineering, and data technologies. Mr. Tirozzi is an innovative technology leader with deep experience in global enterprise technology, technology strategy, digital transformation, data sciences and predictive data platforms.  

Prior to Alnylam, Mr. Tirozzi spent five years at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as Chief Information and Data Officer where he led a technology and data transformation from a tech-debt laden, back-office IT function to a modern, reliable, scalable technology and data operation. The technology transformation helped to enable growth from a single modality and single disease area to an international biotech organization that pioneered multi-modality drug development and doubling in market cap to +$100B. 

Before entering biotech, Mr. Tirozzi spent eight years at iRobot where he held positions of increasing responsibility leading technology 

development, as the Chief Information Officer. While at iRobot, he built a data capability and platform that enabled artificial intelligence and predictive learning to become a strategic asset as well as built an enterprise technology function that enabled the company to grow and scale as it more than doubled its revenue to $1B. Prior to iRobot, he was the Vice President of IT for Keane and NTT Data, leading a diverse, multi-cultural technology team with a focus on the efficiencies of technology globalization and value creation. He has also founded several digital start-ups. 

Mr. Tirozzi received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and holds several industry certifications.”
