Exploring antibiotic resistance through PCR and bacterial transformation

Through two hands-on labs, participants will transform bacterial cells and identify the antibiotic resistance phenotype of different bacterial cells.

This workshop is offered to two different audiences:

1) Teachers enrolled in the graduate class. If enrolled in the graduate. course, you will receive the equipment and reagents needed to complete this lab in real time during the workshop. This is the second required workshop for those enrolled in the graduate class.

2) Any teacher. Any teacher that wants to participate remotely and watch the labs as demonstrations is welcome to register. As a demonstration, this workshop qualifies for 3 PDPs.
