Modeling Molecular Biology (Cambridge)

Learn how to use several different molecular model sets, including the MIT Edgerton Center DNA/RNA and Protein Sets, to teach cellular processes that are difficult to understand, such as replication, transcription, and translation. Specifically made to be manipulated the models help students kinesthetically learn about DNA, RNA and protein structure and function.  The lessons can be easily adapted for different learning levels, including advanced lessons on DNA and proteins.

 More information at: edgerton.mit.edu/DNA-proteins-sets.

Participants will receive student lab protocols, teacher instruction manuals, and curricular support resources to implement these labs in the classroom. This workshop qualifies for 10 PDPs based upon completion of the designated assessments.
