As the days warm and student attention wanes, join us to learn 6 labs or activities to keep your students engaged. MassBioEd is bringing to Fitchburg some of our most popular labs and activities for middle school (or early high school) students. We will complete 3 labs: photosynthesis using algae balls; dog coat length genetics using gel electrophoresis; and the “Taking Macromolecules to Micro!” lab from miniOne. We will also share pipetting activities, activities to highlight DNA structure, and enzymes.
This workshop is geared specifically to middle school classes, but high school teachers are welcome.
Participating teachers who submit a pre- and post- workshop assignment qualify for 10 PDPs.
