Participants will perform PCR on their own DNA to determine their genotype at two different loci. The determined genotypes will be compared the individuals’ phenotypes for ability to taste bitter substances and perceived sleep patterns. For participants whose students cannot do PCR, we will offer a gel electrophoresis lab that uses simulated PCR samples to solve a crime. (10 PDPs for MA educators)
