Burping Yeast: Investigating Aerobic Respiration

All living things, whether a single-celled bacteria or a human, require energy. Most living things convert the energy stored in the chemical bonds of glucose into the chemical bonds of the molecule ATP in the process of cellular respiration.  In this laboratory, students construct a tool to measure cellular respiration in baker's yeast.
