Debbie Durso-Bumpus

Debbie Durso-Bumpus is the Chief People Officer at Blueprint Medicines. Debbie is a visionary human resources executive who has transformed workplaces, driven growth, and cultivated high-performance cultures throughout her extensive career. As the Chief People Officer at Blueprint Medicines for more than a decade, she skillfully leads the global HR function, shaping the company’s People vision and strategy to align with both current and future business and workforce needs amid the rapidly scaling global business. 

Her leadership philosophy is grounded in authenticity and human connection, blending the art of culture architecture with the science of the flow-of-work to shape the workplace and enable the company to be a top place to work.  A forward-thinking leader, Debbie is also passionate about reimagining the future of work and seeding the future generations of biotech workforce. 

Previously, Debbie served as the interim Head of Human Resources for Cubist Pharmaceuticals, where she led the post-merger HR integration following Cubist’s acquisition by Merck. Prior to this, she was the Global Senior Director of Talent Management and Organizational Development at Cubist, driving talent and leadership development while managing change on a global scale to build a cohesive, differentiated culture. Earlier in her career, she was the North American Manager of Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning at Holcim, Inc. 

Outside of her executive role, she serves on the board of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation, supporting science and biotech education.   

Debbie earned a B.S. in Business Management from Bentley University.
