Jay joined the team as a BioTeach Instructor and Curriculum Specialist in 2020. He develops education programs and lab curricula, providing in-person and remote support for middle and high school teachers with a focus on underserved schools and districts in the ACCESS program. He has expertise in STEM education and e-learning, and more than two decades of volunteer experience tackling environmental and community issues. Jay earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s degree in Teaching from Loyola University Maryland. He taught high school biology for 10 years and just completed an MBA in Sustainable Innovation from University of Vermont.
