Hello Bioteach teachers. Just to reiterate, when you order the MCC kit, you may either get the quickstrips or just tubes of simulated hemoglobin. Edvotek no longer sends out the pre aliquoted tubes. This give you the freedom to aliquot the tubes into whatever scenario you desire. Here at CityLab we've been making students work in groups of four. Each student in the group then gets one sample to load into a well. I give each group a Normal, Patient A(normal), Patient B (sickle), and patient C (carrier). I don't give a control sickle to the group. That way each gel has all possible results. If you have further questions, jot them down here. Either I or another Bioteach teacher can answer it. -Matt |
